No Limit Holdem’ a Sport?

It is not basketball or football it is poker. Is poker a sport? Poker is now becoming a sport. Holdem’s popularity around the globe is very high. The main poker game in any casino is Texas Holdem, people just love it. The fact that it comes on ESPN proves that it is becoming a sport. It may not involve any movement of some sort, but in today point of view that is not necessary. lots of people consider chess a sport. When it gets late like at one or two in the morning Texas Holdem is viewed on the air. This could be a stunt to rebuilt the US economy. First they were thinking about lowering the gambling age to 18 years old. Now Holdem is everywhere on TV to get people to gamble. The US Government knows that they can get money from gamblers and use it towards the economy. However,  No Limit Holdem’ has gone from avant-garde–now considered by many people as a mainstream “sport” all over the wold. The popularity of the game has expanded greatly since the mid 90′s. At one point, the game would be considered to be a “gender-gap,” and only considered as a “man’s game.” This concept is no longer prevalent; women (professionals) such as Jennifer Harman, Clonie Gowen, and other from all ages have adapted the great sport of No Limit Holdem’.

The media trys to show the audience that gambling can make you rich, but it is false. Vegas was built out peoples pockets everywhere. The things that are omitted from this message is what happens to the players that loose their money. Also what happens to people who are addicted to gambling. People that would be interested in this video would be a lonely male about the age of 35. This message is definitely being sent to get peoples money, and to get them interested in gambling.
